FROZEN FLOWERS by Claudio Bagni

PH – Claudio Bagni

In the time from my descent on this earth to the present, I have lived as a guest trying to understand time.

Looking at my shots one hears a gentle, harsh talk at the same time – a first interpretation that creates a radical relationship between object and viewer.

Photography, it is known, is capable of making us reflect by conveying feelings in which the lost natural origin can only remain in the imagination. What is true and unreal appears is nothing but the fruit of lived experiences, capable of deep meditation on the beauty and cruelty around us.

I offer images from 1972 when the chemistry of photography was a journey into the dark contact between the visual and the suspended.

Frozen Flowers was born from an instinctive search: water, becoming ice, envelops and fixes the moment and composes evocative images in rapid melting.
